FlexiPot planters are exceptionally durable and can be easily cleaned between uses if necessary. After emptying, it is best to let the FlexiPot planters dry out. After a few days, dust and small roots can be easily removed. While this level of cleaning is completely sufficient, FlexiPot planters can be washed in peroxide in a washing machine or bathtub for sterilization. Do not put FlexiPot planters in the dryer.
When growing in AutoPot irrigation systems, it is essential that a FlexiPot PotSock base (base not included) is attached to the bottom of each FlexiPot planter to control the roots.
The porous, lead-free FlexiPot material containing no BPA allows for better gas exchange in the substrate. The root zone can breathe freely, significantly increasing oxygen levels and promoting growth.
When the root tips reach the porous side of the FlexiPot planter, they are pruned - outside air prevents further expansion. Subsequently, secondary roots develop, creating a fibrous root structure with significantly better water and nutrient uptake. This also eliminates root circling, allowing larger plants to be grown in smaller planters.
