For all cultivation methods: hydroponics and soil

This new pH management concept will allow you to adjust the pH, especially in the case of rapidly growing plants.

As growers, we always have a wish list that would make our lives easier. At the very top of the list is a pH buffer that would work so well that we could go on a two-week vacation and the pH value in the nutrient solution would still be the same upon our return. The problem is that this can only be achieved when the nutrition is weak, when there is not much activity in the solution, and when your plants are growing at an average pace.
If the growth is rapid and a large amount of ions are being removed, and all the complex interactions in the solution are taking place, such stability is unthinkable. However, today we are not helpless. Today, we can achieve satisfactory stability and other advantages as well.
A solution with good pH management is one where you only set the pH once, at system startup. We are not claiming that we have achieved exactly this, and not in every situation and with every nutrient. But when it comes to pH management, which we have tried in our greenhouses using pH Down products in combination with Flora Series nutrition and Mineral Magic, plant cultivation has been going on for several weeks without the need to adjust the pH. In some smaller systems, the pH slightly decreases, but after adding a small amount of pH Up, it rises to the desired level again. In other cases, the pH remains very close to the almost ideal value of 6.0.
The ideal pH value is actually the most important. A high pH level promotes cation intake and conversely, a low level promotes anion intake. So when choosing pH, compromises have to be made. Usually, a safe range with values of 5.5 to 6.5 is recommended. We advise sticking to the lower value, so from 5.5 to 6.2.

pH Up contains silicate

As for raising the pH value in the solution, it will be especially useful for growers who use osmosis or demineralized water. This new version contains silicate, which enhances the plant environment.
A lack of silicate can be a limiting factor in hydroponics. This is because it is poorly soluble, making it difficult to add enough to the solution. Therefore, we always add it to our products whenever possible.
