Apogee Instruments DLI-600 ePAR METER

New for 2022, the DLI-600 from Apogee Instruments is an elegant, easy-to-use instrument for point measurement of photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) outside the traditional range of 400-700 nm. The DLI-600 measures the newly defined range of radiation ePAR 400-750 nm, which has been shown to have expanded photosynthetically active properties. In addition to measuring ePAR, the DLI-600 meter also calculates the daily light integral (DLI) and photoperiod. DLI indicates the total amount of PAR or ePAR incident on a plane over 24 hours, expressed in units of moles per square meter per day (mol m-2 d-1). Photoperiod is the total time during which PAR or ePAR is incident on a plane during 24 hours, expressed in hours (h). ePAR, DLI, and photoperiod affect the growth and development of plants and are often measured in greenhouses and growth chambers to help manage lighting and decision-making.
